The Willcom 03 Smartphone

The Willcom 03 also known as Sharp WS020SH is a smartphone which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Classic. It comes with an LCD WVGA (800×480) 3′’ touchscreen, a QWERTY keyboard, 1Seg tuner, 256MB memory, microSD and W-SIM slots, and a 2.0-megapixel camera with auto focus.

W-SIM (Willcom-SIM) is a SIM card developed by Willcom which, in addition to standard SIM functions, also has the core components of a cellular telephone (PHS), such as the radio receiver and/or transmitter, built inside. It is currently used in some terminals, which do not have radio modules.
The W-SIM core module is an extended version of a SIM card, containing not only user data but also all the transmission technology needed for a mobile device to work.

1seg (named after WanSegu) is a mobile terrestrial digital audio/video and data broadcasting service in Japan. Service began experimentally during 2005 and commercially on April 1, 2006. The first mobile phone handsets for 1seg were sold by KDDI,a Japanese company,to consumers in autumn 2005.
ISDB-T, the terrestrial digital broadcast system used in Japan, is designed so that each channel is divided into 13 segments, with a further segment separating it from the next channel. A HDTV broadcast signal occupies 12 segments, leaving the remaining (13th) segment for mobile receivers. Thus the name, "1seg" or "One Seg".

Motorola's New Watch-cum-Phone

Hi guys! Well there's a very fantastic news for all those mobile phone maniacs out there as this time you guys have something different to check out and enjoy. Here's the new Watch-Phone or Phone-Watch or whatever from Motorola. It Has a completely new stylish look of a digital watch but it,in itself is a flap type mobile phone.this is what it looks like when closed.
Even though it looks like a mere wrist watch from the top but it holds a proud mobile phone within itself.

The multi-segment LCD display gives it a different look of a cool sporty watch. On the other hand, the flap gives a good mechanical durability over its looks.

Even though worked hard over the phone,it just looks like any other flap model mobile phone just attached with a strap.

One of the most eye-catching features is the way the key controls and the display features are oriented. Motorola has really worked over it.

Even though flap type it is very sleek and compact. A bit costly but still worth trying. I would love to have a handset of this model!

It yours! Go check it out!

The Blue Ray Technology

The Blue-ray Disc(also known as Blu-ray)is an optical disc storage media format. Its main uses are high-definition video and data storage. The disc has the same dimensions as a standard DVD or CD.

The name Blu-ray Disc is derived from the blue laser (violet coloured) used to read and write this type of disc. Because of its shorter wavelength (405 nm), substantially more data can be stored on a Blu-ray Disc than on the DVD format, which uses a red (650 nm) laser. A dual layer Blu-ray Disc can store 50 GB, almost six times the capacity of a dual layer DVD.

Blu-ray Disc was developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association, a group of companies representing consumer electronics, computer hardware, and motion picture production. As of July 2,2008 more than 650 Blu-ray Disc films have been commercially released in The United States and more than 410 Blu-ray Disc titles have been released in Japan.
