The New Nokia N810 PDA Phone

Here’s the Nokia new internet phone N810 successor to N800. It has a 4.3-inch widescreen display, 2GB of internal memory, TI OMAP 2420 processor, 128MB RAM, 256MB Flash, miniSD/microSD card slot with upto 8GB extendable memory, and a QWERTY keypad. Texas Instruments Open Multimedia Application Platform(TI OMAP) is a Texas Instruments proprietary microprocessor for multimedia applications. Some of the processors in the OMAP family contain a dual-core architecture consisting of both a general-purpose host ARM processor and one or more DSP. The Digital Signal Processor featured is commonly one or another variant of the Texas Instruments TMS320 series DSPs.

The ARM architecture (previously, the Advanced RISC Machine, and prior to that Acorn RISC Machine) is a 32-bit RISC processor architecture developed by ARM Limited that is widely used in embedded designs. Because of their power saving features, ARM CPUs are dominant in the mobile electronics market, where low power consumption is a critical design goal.

Today, the ARM family accounts for approximately 75% of all embedded 32-bit RISC CPUs,making it one of the most widely used 32-bit architectures. ARM CPUs are found in most corners of consumer electronics, from portable devices (PDAs, mobile phones, media players, hand-held gaming units, and calculators) to computer peripherals (hard drives, desktop routers); however it no longer has significant penetration as the main processor in the desktop computer market and has never been used in a supercomputer or cluster.

This Internet Phone has a BP-4L battery with an amazing battery life.It can work continuously for 4 Hours with its display and wireless LAN switched on.It is capable of giving a continuous music playback for 10 Hours and can be continuously online upto 5 days.Even though none of us ever goes for standing by the phone for a long period of time, still its battery sustains power for approximately 15 days on standby.

1seg (named after WanSegu) is a mobile terrestrial digital audio/video and data broadcasting service in Japan. Service began experimentally during 2005 and commercially on April 1, 2006. The first mobile phone handsets for 1seg were sold by KDDI,a Japanese company,to consumers in autumn 2005.
ISDB-T, the terrestrial digital broadcast system used in Japan, is designed so that each channel is divided into 13 segments, with a further segment separating it from the next channel. A HDTV broadcast signal occupies 12 segments, leaving the remaining (13th) segment for mobile receivers. Thus the name, "1seg" or "One Seg".

Motorola's New Watch-cum-Phone

Hi guys! Well there's a very fantastic news for all those mobile phone maniacs out there as this time you guys have something different to check out and enjoy. Here's the new Watch-Phone or Phone-Watch or whatever from Motorola. It Has a completely new stylish look of a digital watch but it,in itself is a flap type mobile phone.this is what it looks like when closed.
Even though it looks like a mere wrist watch from the top but it holds a proud mobile phone within itself.

The multi-segment LCD display gives it a different look of a cool sporty watch. On the other hand, the flap gives a good mechanical durability over its looks.

Even though worked hard over the phone,it just looks like any other flap model mobile phone just attached with a strap.

One of the most eye-catching features is the way the key controls and the display features are oriented. Motorola has really worked over it.

Even though flap type it is very sleek and compact. A bit costly but still worth trying. I would love to have a handset of this model!

It yours! Go check it out!
